Description

You will engineer the global API platform and manage end-to-end API onboarding. You own the stability, security, and deployment of the API infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Setup and configure Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid environments, including keystores, truststores, and KVMs.
• Design and implement solutions for traffic control, API security, throttling, caching, and logging.
• Develop API proxies and convert web services between SOAP and REST formats.
• Standardize CI/CD setups for API management tools and automate deployment pipelines.
• Maintain SLAs, health metrics, and infrastructure stability while performing vulnerability assessments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee configuration, management, and testing.
• Deep knowledge of Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Groovy, Perl, JavaScript, and Java for policy and pipeline development.
• Experience with REST, JSON, SOAP, and XML protocols and data formats.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Harness, GitLab, GitHub, GitLab Runner, Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud and Linux server environments.
• Ability to define development, test, release, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Experience implementing security, custom analytics, and request/response modifications at the API layer.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine and Linux-based infrastructure.
• Knowledge of automation and SCM tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Bitbucket, or ServiceNow.
