Description

You will lead the development of Java/J2EE based applications and drive the migration of existing APIs to Backend for Frontend (BFF) architectures.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and execute the migration of existing APIs to Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Build and maintain REST and SOAP web services using Java.
• Oversee the deployment of solutions on the Amazon Service Delivery Platform.
• Manage projects across multiple regions and adapt strategies for various brands.
• Design and build distributed systems at Internet scale using thread-safe code and concurrency patterns.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development.
• Expertise in Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Deep understanding of Java concurrency, concurrency patterns, and building thread-safe code.
• Experience with Web Services including JSON, REST, JA-RS, and Spring-based REST services.
• Proficiency with J2EE/Java EE technologies such as servlets, JSP, JSF, and JDBC.
• Experience with RDBMS including Oracle 10g, MySQL 5.x, or SQL Server 2005/2008.
• Hands-on experience with messaging products like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with caching products such as Redis, Oracle Coherence, Gemfire, or Hazelcast.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases including MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker, and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency with development tools: Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira, and Artifactory.
• Experience with web application servers like Tomcat, Jetty, or JBoss.
• Strong grasp of OOP, SOA principles, design patterns, and TDD using JUnit/Mockito.
• Experience working in Linux environments with scripting capabilities.
