Description

Lead end-to-end quality engineering for REST APIs, owning the automation strategy and execution for complex, distributed systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive API test strategies covering functional, integration, contract, regression, and negative testing.
• Build and maintain automation suites for REST APIs, ensuring high coverage, reliability, and maintainability across microservices.
• Integrate automated API tests into CI/CD pipelines, defining quality gates and best practices for continuous testing.
• Analyze logs, traces, and API responses to diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and support long-term fixes.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, provide technical guidance on test assets, and lead code reviews.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in API test automation and quality engineering.
• Strong proficiency with REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with API specification tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to define test strategies, plans, and quality processes for large-scale projects.
• Strong background in test design techniques, risk-based testing, and regression optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record of leading small to medium QA/automation teams.
• Experience collaborating with architects and developers to ensure API testability and consistency.
