Description

You will validate RESTful and SOAP APIs to ensure they meet functional, performance, and security requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute API test plans and cases for REST and SOAP services.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and load testing to verify reliability.
• Automate API tests using frameworks such as RestAssured or Karate.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or Bugzilla.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Proficiency with Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and MySQL databases.
• Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and JSON/XML formats.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms including OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Ability to work within Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
• Familiarity with API mocking tools and service virtualization.
