Description

You will design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using APIConnect.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, integrating them with existing systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for internal users and third-party developers.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure API functionality, performance, and security.
• Mentor junior developers on API development and integration best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure 24/7 platform availability through on-call support.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of development experience specifically with APIConnect.
• Hands-on experience with APIConnect v10 admin and GatewayScript.
• Experience customizing developer portals using Drupal.
• Proficiency with OAuth and JWT.
• Experience working with SOA applications using IBM WebSphere and DataPower.
• Strong troubleshooting skills specifically for DataPower.
• Working knowledge of XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, XPath, XSLT, and ESQL.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to analyze performance, reliability, and resilience dimensions in system design.
