Description

You will design, build, and maintain the Apigee infrastructure and API management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API Gateway solutions, including configuration, policies, and reusable assets.
• Lead technical consulting sessions to assist application teams with onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Manage the CI/CD process for deploying API proxies and products.
• Execute capacity planning, disaster recovery exercises, and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Enforce API specification standards and governance guidelines for security, audit, and logging.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apigee infrastructure and development.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, Developer Portal, and Apigee BaaS.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Python and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of API security standards including OAuth, SAML, SSL, and OWASP.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Log Analytics.
• Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, Microservices, Kafka/MQ, and OpenAPI 3.0/Swagger.
• Proven experience in DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
• Ability to create technical specifications, design documents, and data mapping.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading small teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Background in designing and implementing API monetization and versioning strategies.
