Description

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable API solutions using the Apigee API Management platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API proxies using Apigee Edge and Hybrid.
• Define API architecture and governance frameworks for scalable solutions.
• Implement security best practices including OAuth, JWT, API keys, and SAML.
• Integrate Apigee with identity providers for SSO and API security.
• Monitor API performance, optimize for scalability, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apigee platforms (Edge Cloud, OPDK, Hybrid, and X).
• Deep knowledge of proxy development, analytics, and CI/CD integration.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee API design and API management.
• Proficiency in API security protocols including OAuth and SAML.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing networking requirements across all Apigee factors.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud API management across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Apigee Developer Portal.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization techniques.
