Description

Design and build integrations between on-premises and cloud-hosted systems using the Apigee API Management platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect technical solutions for enterprise systems using Apigee to meet business requirements.
• Define standards for scalability, security, logging, auditing, policy management, and performance monitoring.
• Design integration flows and manage the end-to-end process to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Lead technical POCs to evaluate and select technologies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and IT program managers to enhance existing business applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API management and integration architecture.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Apigee API Management platform.
• Deep understanding of SOA and API design patterns, including message routing, transformation, and error handling.
• Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, and Web Services interoperability.
• Proven ability to direct developers, estimate project timelines, and set technical direction.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum iterative development frameworks.
• Ability to analyze requirements and formulate solutions in multi-vendor architecture committee meetings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience writing technical design documents.
• Experience assisting in preparing integration department roadmaps.
