Description

You will design, build, and maintain API gateways using Apigee and IBM DataPower, ensuring secure and efficient integration across backend systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure API proxies, shared flows, and policies including OAuth, JWT, Quota, and Spike Arrest.
• Build and manage IBM DataPower MPGW and WSP services, including policies and configurations.
• Design REST APIs and integrate with backend systems via HTTP/S, SOAP, and MQ.
• Execute API migration projects, specifically moving from DataPower to Apigee.
• Implement API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and mTLS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of overall technical experience, including 3+ years with Apigee (Edge or Hybrid) and 2+ years with IBM DataPower.
• Strong proficiency in Apigee policy development and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower MPGW/WSP services and policy configuration.
• Deep understanding of API security protocols: OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and mTLS.
• Proficiency in data transformation using XML, JSON, and XSLT.
• Experience with backend integrations via HTTP/S, SOAP, and Message Queues.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record in migrating APIs from DataPower to Apigee.
• Experience with Apigee Hybrid deployment models.
