Job Description:
One should participate in Discovery & Assessment phase to attend the stakeholder workshops to understand
Business objectives
Integration needs
API monetization/use cases
Identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas in the current API landscape
Define API management strategy aligned with business goals and aligned with existing APIGEE landscape
Suggest governance model for APIs: Versioning, lifecycle management, standards
create a solution Design (High-Level)
Create conceptual architecture diagrams
Define proxy patterns:
Outline CI/CD approach for API development
Recommend best practices for:
API design (REST standards, OpenAPI specs)
Error handling and logging
Evaluate and recommend API security standards:Authentication/Authorization mechanisms, Threat protection policies
Identify compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, internal policies)5. Tooling & Ecosystem Alignment
Should work on Documentation & Deliverables
Current state assessment document
Target state architecture
Gap analysis report
Required Skills & Experience
6–10+ years of experience in API management and integration
Strong hands-on experience with:
Google Apigee (Edge / X / Hybrid)
Expertise in:
RESTful API design and OpenAPI specification
API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS)
API lifecycle management
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Knowledge of integration patterns and microservices architecture
Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, routing, load balancing)
Preferred Qualifications
Apigee certification (Professional or equivalent)
Experience in API design and strategies
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
Any Graduate
