Description

You will design, develop, and deploy API proxies using Apigee Edge, X, or Hybrid platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy API proxies with policy flows for traffic shaping, mediation, and security.
• Implement secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Key mechanisms.
• Configure Apigee policies for request/response handling, error management, and threat protection.
• Develop and maintain Developer Portals to ensure clear documentation and self-service onboarding.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline automation for API deployments and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in API development and integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on Apigee development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT token validation, and SSO/SAML integration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java for custom policy extensions.
• Experience with REST, JSON, XML, HTTP, and SOAP services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with Apigee analytics, lifecycle management, and API products.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apigee Hybrid deployments in GCP or multi-cloud environments.
• Integration with IAM systems such as Okta, Azure AD, or PingFederate.
• Knowledge of Kafka or Pub/Sub systems.
