Description

Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable APIs using Apigee Edge, X, or Hybrid. You will own the full lifecycle of API products, from proxy development to monetization and analytics.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy API proxies using Apigee, implementing policy flows for traffic shaping, transformation, and security.
• Implement secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Key mechanisms, integrating with identity providers via SSO/SAML.
• Develop and maintain Developer Portals with Self-Service Portal capabilities for streamlined developer onboarding and API key provisioning.
• Configure custom policies for request/response handling and threat protection, and set up API products and rate plans.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline automation for API deployments and integrate APIs with backend systems over REST/SOAP.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in API development and integration, with 5+ years hands-on Apigee development.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT token validation, and API gateway security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Developer Portal, including API publishing and role-based access.
• Proficiency with REST, JSON, XML, HTTP, and SOAP services.
• Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or Python for custom policy extensions.
• Familiarity with API monetization, analytics, and lifecycle management within Apigee.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
