Description

You will design, develop, and implement APIs using the Apigee Edge platform.

Responsibilities

• Create API proxies, policies, and customizations to ensure performance, security, and scalability.
• Implement OAuth, JWT, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure APIs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance issues to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and ensure CI/CD for APIs.
• Develop API documentation, including specifications and guidelines for stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API development and management.
• Proficiency in the Apigee Edge platform, including proxies and policies.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Solid understanding of RESTful principles and API design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS security mechanisms.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with other API management tools like MuleSoft, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with GraphQL and other emerging API technologies.
