Description

You will design, build, and manage enterprise API solutions using Apigee Edge or Apigee X.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy API proxies, shared flows, API products, and developer apps.
• Implement security policies including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and rate limiting.
• Develop mediation logic, JSON/XML transformations, and fault handling rules.
• Configure Apigee Developer Portal and manage API onboarding workflows.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for Apigee deployments using Terraform, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Required Skills

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Strong knowledge of API security standards: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS.
• Experience implementing rate limiting, caching, and error-handling patterns.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Maven, apigeetool, apigeecli, or Apigee deploy plugins.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform for Apigee environments.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Programming experience in JavaScript and one of: Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS, or Azure).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk, ELK stack, or cloud monitoring tools for observability.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and DevOps practices.
• Experience designing high-performance and scalable API platforms.
