Description

Design, develop, secure, and manage API proxies using the Google Cloud Apigee platform. Own the full API lifecycle from development through deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure API proxies to mediate between backend services and client applications.
• Implement security policies including OAuth, API keys, and authorization protocols.
• Manage traffic policies such as rate limiting, throttling, and caching.
• Create and maintain developer portals for API consumer onboarding and testing.
• Use trace tools to debug end-to-end flows and analyze traffic data.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in API development and management.
• Proficiency in Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Python.
• Understanding of OAuth, API keys, and security protocols.
• Ability to configure API products and manage user access in the Apigee console.
