Description

You will design, develop, and manage APIs across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments using Apigee Edge and Apigee X.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy API proxies on the Apigee Edge / Apigee X platform.
• Implement Apigee policies for authentication, traffic management, caching, and transformation.
• Integrate APIs with backend, middleware, and frontend systems using REST and SOAP protocols.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and manage deployments using Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Troubleshoot API runtime issues, performing root cause analysis to maintain stability.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience with API design and development using Apigee Edge / Apigee X.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications.
• Experience developing and debugging custom policies using JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Proven experience across on-premises, cloud (GCP), and hybrid Apigee deployment models.
• Solid knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, and other API security frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and build tools (Maven, Jenkins).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve production runtime and performance issues.
