You will architect, secure, and manage the full lifecycle of APIs using the Apigee platform on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect security frameworks using Proof of Possession (PoP) methods for Apigee APIs.
• Implement governance processes for API development, design, and publishing guidelines.
• Design API product workflows and manage consumer onboarding via the Apigee Developer Portal.
• Externalize API analytics from Apigee X to BigQuery and build visualization dashboards on GCP.
• Collaborate with technical program managers and business teams to refine user stories and participate in Scrum planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API management and the Apigee platform.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge (OPDK and SaaS), Apigee X, and Apigee Hybrid.
• Proficiency in designing and developing API Proxies using JavaScript and Java.
• Expertise in API security implementation including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and encryption/decryption.
• Deep understanding of REST API implementation, API products, and API key rotation.
• Experience with GCP services including GCP projects, IAM configurations, Cloud Console, and BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of API analytics and externalizing data for reporting.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Maven and Jenkins for Apigee API deployment.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Anthos, and Apigee Hybrid setup.
• Familiarity with Data Studio and Google Cloud Operations for analytics visualization.
