Description

You will lead the design, development, and deployment of API proxies using Apigee Edge, X, or Hybrid.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design API proxies with policy flows for traffic shaping, mediation, transformation, and security.
• Implement secure API mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Key, including IDP integration via SSO/SAML.
• Develop and maintain Developer Portals and Self-Service Portal capabilities to streamline onboarding and app registration.
• Automate API deployments through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot APIs using Apigee Analytics and logging frameworks.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in API development and integration, with 5+ years of hands-on Apigee development.
• Expertise in OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT token validation, and SSO integration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java for custom policy extensions.
• Strong knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, HTTP, and SOAP services.
• Experience with Apigee Developer Portals, including custom theming and role-based access.
• Familiarity with API monetization, analytics, and lifecycle management.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Apigee Hybrid deployments in GCP or multi-cloud environments.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience or certification.
