Lead the technical design and implementation of Apigee on-premises API management solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Apigee on-premises API management solutions.
• Manage the full API lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Implement API security best practices using OAuth, authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize API performance to ensure high availability.
• Create and maintain documentation for API architecture, configurations, and integration processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years working with Apigee or similar API management platforms.
• Proven experience with Apigee on-premises setup, configuration, and management, including Apigee Edge.
• Strong understanding of API design principles including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Deep knowledge of API security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, API key management, and IAM.
• Experience with API gateway configuration, security policies, and traffic management.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, including caching, rate limiting, and optimization.
• Experience using Git for version control and managing deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Apigee X, Apigee Hybrid, or Azure APIM.
