Description

You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Apigee infrastructure and API architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API Gateway solutions, including API policies, versioning strategies, and monetization frameworks.
• Lead technical consulting sessions to assist application teams with Apigee onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Own the CI/CD methodology for deploying API proxies and products.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible to streamline operations.
• Drive root cause analysis for production issues and facilitate disaster recovery exercises.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to API specification standards.
• Manage capacity planning and work with infrastructure teams on load balancers, firewalls, and server setups.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API management and infrastructure.
• Expertise in Apigee Edge, Developer Portal, and Apigee BaaS platforms.
• Deep understanding of API design standards including OpenAPI 3.0, Swagger, REST, and SOAP.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth, OpenID, SAML, SSL, and OWASP security standards.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible for automation.
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, MQ, and JSON.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools: Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Log Analytics.
• Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to create technical specifications, design documents, and data mapping.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience leading small technical teams.
