Description

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Apigee infrastructure and API architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API Gateway solutions, including policies, versioning, and monetization frameworks.
• Own the CI/CD methodology for deploying API proxies and products.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible to streamline operations.
• Lead technical consulting for application team onboarding and troubleshoot Apigee issues.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive root cause analysis for production issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API management and infrastructure.
• Expertise in Apigee Edge, Developer Portal, and Apigee BaaS.
• Deep understanding of API design standards: OpenAPI 3.0, Swagger, REST, and SOAP.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth, OpenID, SAML, SSL, and OWASP security standards.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible for automation.
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, MQ, and JSON.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Log Analytics.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience leading small technical teams.
