Description

Engineer and maintain API management infrastructure, automating configurations within the CI/CD pipeline and securing APIs using OAuth/OIDC patterns.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Automate API gateway configurations within the DevOps CI/CD pipeline.
• Secure APIs using OAuth/OIDC patterns and middleware integrations.
• Manage and diagnose gateway operations using Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Execute MySQL queries to manage gateway, OTK, and portal databases.
• Implement and manage API gateway functionalities within a Kubernetes environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in API management or related infrastructure.
• Expertise with APIM Tools such as Kong, Layer7, or NGINX.
• Strong knowledge of API design and OAuth/OIDC authentication patterns.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerization concepts.
• Working knowledge of microservices, API gateways, and streaming platforms like Kafka and Confluent.
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and various protocols.
• Competence in Linux command execution and shell scripting for maintenance.
• Basic understanding of load balancer setups (SSL offloading, persistence) and networking (VPN tunneling, IP addressing, DMZ).
