Description

You will own the administration and migration of Appian applications to cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain multiple Appian environments across on-prem and cloud infrastructures.
• Execute migrations from on-prem to AWS EKS, collaborating with infrastructure and DevOps teams.
• Set up and manage Appian Docker containers and Helm configurations.
• Oversee installation, patching, upgrades, and hotfixes for Appian versions.
• Coordinate database migrations (e.g., DB2 to PostgreSQL) and ensure post-migration compatibility.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as an Appian Administrator (versions 21.x or later).
• Proven experience migrating Appian from on-prem to containerized/cloud environments (AWS EKS preferred).
• Strong understanding of Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS services (ECR, S3, IAM).
• Experience integrating Appian with enterprise services (LDAP, SSO, SMTP, database, secrets management).
• Familiarity with Appian automation, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and plugin management.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes pods, Webhooks/Controllers, EFS, ASM, and Appian operator/CRD.
• Experience using CloudFormation Templates or Terraform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Appian operator/CRD and advanced Kubernetes controller patterns.
