Description

You will lead the migration of Appian applications from on-prem Linux to AWS EKS and administer containerized environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain multiple Appian environments including cloud and on-prem setups.
• Execute migration from on-prem Linux to AWS EKS, managing Docker containers and Helm configurations.
• Oversee installation, patching, upgrades, and hotfixes for Appian versions.
• Coordinate database migrations and ensure application/plugin compatibility post-migration.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and architecture documentation while supporting performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years as an Appian Administrator (versions 21.x or later).
• Proven experience migrating Appian from on-prem to containerized/cloud environments, preferably AWS EKS.
• Strong Linux administration skills with hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Proficiency in AWS services: ECR, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, EFS, and ASM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and plugin management.
• Knowledge of Appian operator/CRDs and CloudFormation/Terraform templates.
• Ability to integrate Appian with LDAP, SSO, SMTP, and secrets management.

Preferred Skills

• Background in the mortgage industry.
• Experience with DB2 to PostgreSQL migrations.
• Working knowledge of InfoSec compliance, image scanning, and vulnerability remediation.
