Description

You will design and maintain line-of-business applications using the Appian platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems and design application development or maintenance solutions.
• Test and implement approved solutions independently or alongside agency staff.
• Coordinate with vendor support to troubleshoot technical issues and facilitate system upgrades.
• Provide primary application support during system and component upgrade cycles.
• Support modernization transitions, specifically moving from legacy Oracle environments and government system code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Appian development experience.
• 8 years of software development experience, including system specification design and data usage analysis.
• Experience investigating problem areas and installing technical solutions based on system flow studies.
• Proven ability to confer with users to define information needs and work processes.
• Experience with legacy application development.
• Background in transforming or modernizing legacy environments.
• Agile development experience.
• Ability to substitute formal education for required years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• 10 years of experience with legacy applications and modernization projects.
• 5 years of Agile development experience.
