Description

Lead Appian development efforts, guiding architects and developers through complex technical solutions and architecture reviews.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Appian developers and provide guidance on architecture and development queries.
• Design Appian applications and database structures while considering inter-relationships with external systems.
• Perform architecture reviews of sprint stories and work with Product Owners to gather requirements.
• Monitor all development phases including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Define operating standards, establish procedures, and train junior developers to grow the Appian practice.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of significant IT experience.
• Hands-on development experience in Appian or other low-code platforms such as XCeptor, Power Apps, RPA, or BluePrism.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, C#, or VB.net.
• Strong technical background in Java, Spring Boot, Database, JDBC, JMS, and REST.
• Experience with ALM and CI/CD tools including Bitbucket, TFS, Jenkins, uDeploy, or BMC RLM.
• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, and benchmarking activities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within a banking or finance environment.
