Description

You will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end Appian BPM solutions and manage infrastructure impacts across the portfolio pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and interpretation to ensure business alignment and operational readiness.
• Execute design and implementation reviews for core engineering projects before production deployment.
• Develop complex Appian SAIL code and manage data modeling, system integrations, and application testing.
• Review existing solutions to remediate gaps in resiliency, risk, and performance.
• Provide technical guidance for strategic planning and business architecture sessions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience with 4-5 years specifically delivering Appian solutions.
• Experience with Appian 20x, 21x, or 22x versions.
• Ability to write complex Appian SAIL code beyond standard drag-and-drop functionality.
• Deep understanding of Appian Objects: Sites, Records, Reports, Tasks, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDT, and Process Models.
• Proven track record of three or more end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design/Develop/Deploy/Package).
• Knowledge of Appian Infrastructure Architecture, including In-Memory KDB Engines, sizing, and vertical/horizontal scaling.
• Experience with App Servers (JBoss, Tomcat) and Web Servers (Apache).
• Proficiency in SQL coding using SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB.
• Technical experience with Web API, Java Servlets, EJBs, and JDBC.
• Foundational knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience writing Appian Plugins (Smart Services, Function, or Servlet Plugins).
• Experience with Embedded SAIL and J2EE design patterns.
