Description

You will develop scalable Java applications and support existing business systems on-site in Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex Java applications meeting low latency, high throughput, and multi-threading requirements.
• Design services and projects in consultation with project teams and functional units.
• Build Java web development components including RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
• Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the application lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Proficiency with Java, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
• Experience with RESTful APIs using JAX-RS.
• Hands-on experience with Angular, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Mandatory experience working with the IBM mainframe platform.
• Knowledge of Java application containers and build tools.
• Experience using Java testing tools for finished code.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools as part of the SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Java internals including Garbage Collection, application tuning, and Java dump analysis.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Experience running Java on IBM mainframe.
