Description

Define and maintain target architectures for inpatient video visit capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise digital health strategy.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures integrating video platforms with EHR, IAM, scheduling, and patient engagement systems.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, and reference models for telehealth platforms using HL7 and FHIR APIs.
• Evaluate vendor solutions for architectural fit, scalability, and security, guiding selection and proof-of-concept evaluations.
• Architect solutions meeting HIPAA, HITECH, and NIST frameworks, defining secure data flows and PHI protection controls.
• Lead architecture review boards and ensure adherence to enterprise standards for APIs, identity, and observability.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years.
• 8+ years in healthcare IT, including 3+ years in solution or application architecture.
• Active Epic certification (any module).
• Deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and API architecture.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong grasp of HIPAA compliance and healthcare cybersecurity requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with telehealth or virtual care platforms in inpatient settings.
• Familiarity with major EHR platforms (Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner).
• TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP, or healthcare informatics certifications.
