Description

You will lead the architectural transition of a Ruby on Rails application from AWS to Azure, including a port to .NET.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration strategy from AWS to Azure using Azure design patterns.
• Design and develop system artifacts, proposals, and builds to support the application port.
• Partner with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure data reliability and efficient functionality.
• Incorporate digital accessibility features and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements into all digital products.
• Mentor and lead technical teams through the migration and implementation phases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in object-oriented development and .NET application development.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise web service design using SOAP/XML and REST/JSON.
• 5+ years of experience deploying applications to Azure and using Azure DevOps.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
• Proven experience with relational database development and secured web services.
• Deep knowledge of digital accessibility standards, including Section 508, ADA, and WAI-ARIA guidelines.
• Experience designing for platform technologies including iOS and Android.
• Strong expertise in unit test development and implementation within the SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
