Description

Design and lead the architecture for enterprise applications, bridging legacy COBOL/CICS systems with modern Java and React stacks. You will manage agile delivery processes, coordinate multiple scrum teams, and ensure secure, scalable code across the organization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-tier applications using Java, React, COBOL, and CICS, ensuring seamless integration with DB2 databases.
• Facilitate multiple scrum ceremonies simultaneously, coaching teams on Agile principles and Scrum Master activities.
• Manage the full application development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, acceptance criteria, and test methodologies.
• Oversee code repositories (Git/GitHub) and build tools (Jira, Control-M) to streamline development and scheduling.
• Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and technical staff to implement security best practices and drive architectural change.

Required Skills

• Expert proficiency in Java, React, and COBOL.
• Deep knowledge of CICS, DB2, and SQL stored procedures.
• 5+ years of experience in application architecture and design.
• Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Git, GitHub, and Control-BulkMailer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and coordinate staff across multiple teams.

Preferred Skills

• PMP certification.
• Experience scaling Agile processes across large organizations.
