Application Architect

You will design and document architecture patterns, standards, and technologies to align with enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define and document architecture patterns, standards, and technologies across the enterprise.
• Build detailed technical designs for monitoring solutions as part of complex projects.
• Develop and maintain a two-year technical domain roadmap aligned with organizational direction.
• Contribute to the architecture review process by creating validation checklists and reviewing artifacts.
• Apply engineering concepts to ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with other technical architects to integrate and align all technical roadmaps.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in an IT architectural or technical leadership capacity.
• Expertise in system design and implementing technical strategies.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools including Splunk, Science Logic, Azure Log Analytics, or PRTG.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Perl, Python, or Powershell.
• Ability to estimate financial impacts of solution architecture alternatives through scenario planning.
• Strong skills in using Visio, PowerPoint, and Word for technical documentation.
• Proven ability to build consensus among stakeholders and communicate with senior IT leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Telecommunications.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• TOGAF certification.
• 3+ years of experience leading design and architecture of technology solutions.
• 10+ years of experience working in complex IT environments.
