Description

Lead application architecture and technical design for Customer/1 (CSS) initiatives, providing hands-on guidance through the full SDLC.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define technical designs and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and solution quality.
• Manage and influence vendors, holding them accountable for deliverables and integration.
• Identify application-level risks and support mitigation planning within complex utility environments.
• Support system enhancements, integrations, and issue resolution using mainframe technologies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience, including 8–10 years specifically with Customer Billing Systems (Customer/1/CSS).
• Strong proficiency in mainframe technologies: COBOL, DB2, and UNIX.
• Experience with systems integration tools: MuleSoft, GoAnywhere, and Managed File Transfer (MFT).
• Proven ability to lead technical teams (internal and vendor) in a formal SDLC environment.
• Understanding of Client/server, internet-based architectures, and basic WAN/networking concepts.
• Experience working in utility or regulated environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
