Description

Design and build resilient, event-driven applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and efficient service routing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable backend services using Spring Boot and Java.
• Implement event processing pipelines using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Python.
• Manage high-throughput data streaming and integration with Apache Kafka.
• Design database schemas for CockroachDB, Aurora, and PostgreSQL, focusing on failover and resiliency.
• Establish robust error handling, debugging, and API management standards.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Java development.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS.
• Proven expertise with Kafka streaming and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in Python for serverless and automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of database design (CockroachDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with service routing, failover mechanisms, and system resiliency.
• Previous work experience in the JPMC environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of tenure in previous roles, demonstrating stability and depth.
