Description

You will design, administer, and optimize enterprise-scale data systems using PostgreSQL and CockroachDB.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end scalable solution architectures integrating databases, data lakes, and microservices.
• Build and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Administer PostgreSQL and CockroachDB, covering installation, configuration, backup/recovery, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Perform performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization for large-scale distributed systems.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for high-performance applications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of combined experience in database development, data modeling, DBA operations, and solution architecture.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, PostgreSQL, and CockroachDB.
• Deep understanding of performance tuning for distributed and high-throughput data systems.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and transaction isolation/concurrency control.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Architect functions.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data warehousing concepts, and data integration best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing architectures for high-throughput microservices.
• Background in data warehousing and complex ETL pipeline integration.
