Description

You will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models, schemas, and indexes for Azure SQL databases.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for Azure SQL environments.
• Manage database security, access control, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues promptly.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a DBA with a strong focus on Azure SQL Server.
• In-depth knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL Server architecture.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and database design principles.
• Experience with Azure SQL Server management tools (Azure Portal, SSMS).
• Strong understanding of database security and access control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with Data Modeling practices.
• Experience with ETL processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with database automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices applied to database management.
