Description

You will develop software-based solutions to migrate and modernize legacy customer applications to MongoDB.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver software as part of small Agile teams focusing on application modernization.
• Analyze legacy application states and design technical paths to reach target customer architectures.
• Execute migration projects using established playbooks and develop creative solutions for technical gaps.
• Participate in sprint grooming, planning, and showcases to contribute to project direction.
• Adopt emerging technologies, specifically GenAI advancements, to support migration and development tasks.

Required Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL.
• Experience with Enterprise Java architectures including J2EE, JavaEE, or Spring.
• History of delivering applications using Agile methodologies and test-first development.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of microservices architectures and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as Hibernate or JPA and practical experience using MongoDB.
