Description

You will lead development across multiple applications throughout the full software development life cycle.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions and translate business requirements into functional code.
• Manage unit testing, configuration management, source code control, and release management.
• Apply secure programming techniques and best practices to all development activities.
• Provide operational support, including bug fixes, enhancements, and change orders.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in application modernization planning.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of programming experience with a focus on PowerBuilder.
• Extensive experience using PowerBuilder Foundation Class (PFC) libraries.
• Proficiency with Informix or Oracle databases and associated database tools.
• Hands-on experience with PowerBuilder source control tools such as Microsoft VSS.
• Experience working within Agile teams and following Agile development methods.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and document complex existing program code.
• Proven capability in troubleshooting existing applications and resolving routine tickets.
• Ability to perform top-down testing through application interfaces, including 4GL and PHP.

Preferred Skills

• Experience navigating matrix management environments and following organizational protocols.
