Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2, with CICS as a secondary skill.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug COBOL programs for business logic.
• Manage job control via JCL for batch processing.
• Handle data storage and retrieval using VSAM files.
• Perform database queries and updates using DB2.
• Support transaction processing via CICS when required.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
• Hands-on experience with JCL job scheduling.
• Knowledge of VSAM file structures and access methods.
• Experience with DB2 database operations.
• Familiarity with CICS transaction management.
