Description
You will own the maintenance and operation of existing mainframe applications, ensuring stability and performance for online and batch programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL/CICS programs within MVS environments.
- Manage data stores using CA-Datacom, SQL-enabled tables, and DB2.
- Handle interfaces via MQ and MoveIT, and manage file storage including VSAM and sequential files.
- Utilize CA-Librarian for code repository management and TSO/ROSCOE/DQuery/Intertest for development and debugging.
- Consult with Technology and Business Units to align technical solutions with business needs.
Required Skills
- 12+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
- Expertise in COBOL, CICS, and MVS programming.
- Strong proficiency with DB2 and CA-Datacom.
- Hands-on experience with TSO, ROSCOE, DQuery, and Intertest.
- Understanding of MQ and MoveIT interfaces.
- Ability to provide robust support for maintenance and operational activities.
