Description

Lead application development within a mainframe environment, overseeing the full SDLC from requirements to release.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor application developers on technical issue resolution, tool usage, and best practices.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Collaborate with business users, project managers, and technical architects to align solutions with business needs.
• Manage tasks through every phase of the SDLC to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of application development team lead experience in a mainframe environment.
• 7+ years of RPG development experience.
• 7+ years of relational database development experience.
• 7+ years of experience with CLLE command language.
• 7+ years of experience with DDS for interactive screens, menus, files, and report definitions.
• Strong understanding of database system constraints, referential integrity, and database normalization.
• Experience working across the full SDLC.

Preferred Skills

• DB2 experience.
