Description

You will develop and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails and SQL databases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write object-oriented code using Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Manage and query SQL databases including Postgres and Oracle.
• Maintain version control and deployment workflows using Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Write and execute tests using the RSpec framework.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong SQL database knowledge, specifically Postgres or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with Git and GitLab.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience using the RSpec framework.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• RESTful API development and service-oriented design.
• Experience with microservices and Pub/Sub messaging patterns.
• Experience with pair programming and code reviews.
