Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Apache Iceberg and Starburst within a data lakehouse architecture.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and curation processes using PySpark and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and manage enterprise data solutions in Oracle, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Utilize Starburst for high-performance querying and data virtualization across Iceberg tables and other sources.
• Identify system enhancements, conduct testing and debugging, and analyze applications for vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with data architects and business intelligence teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Applications Development, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
• Strong proficiency with Apache Iceberg and data lakehouse architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Starburst and Trino for SQL querying and virtualization.
• Expertise in PySpark, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle database development, schema design, and optimization.
• Experience with data governance, data quality management, and security best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud storage solutions such as S3 and ADLS.
• Experience with stored procedures, business intelligence, and analytics reporting.
