Description

Maintain and evolve existing applications using PowerBuilder and associated database systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and document existing program code and business logic.
• Troubleshoot existing applications and resolve routine support tickets.
• Communicate complex business rules to third-party vendors and contractors using graphic tools.
• Perform top-down testing through application interfaces in 4GL and PHP to grasp business concepts.
• Collaborate within Agile development teams to deliver software updates.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of programming experience with PowerBuilder and PFC (PowerBuilder Foundation Class) libraries.
• Experience with Informix or Oracle databases and related database tools.
• Proficiency with PowerBuilder source control tools such as Microsoft VSS.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to perform top-down testing on applications written in 4GL or PHP.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting programming and business logic.
• Graduate degree in any field.
