Description

You will own the development, support, and operational efficiency of enterprise mainframe applications in a hybrid environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Perform production fixes, troubleshoot issues, and validate solutions with technology and business partners.
• Manage batch cycles, code promotions, and release implementations to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Monitor job run times, tune performance, and maintain application health checks to meet SLAs/OLAs.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve system efficiency.
• Maintain system documentation, including runbooks, security diagrams, and CMDB audits.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with Easytrieve and REXX for data processing and automation.
• Hands-on experience with RACF for security and Xpediter for debugging.
• Proven track record in application support, production operations, and IT-business coordination.
• Ability to coordinate with upstream/downstream systems for issue resolution and change notifications.
• Experience with disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.
• Strong documentation skills for process procedures and system runbooks.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Abend-Aid, File-Aid, and OMEGAMON for log analysis and monitoring.
• Experience with Endevor Software Manager and ESP scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOX and CIP.
