Description

You will support the analysis, design, and code remediation required to integrate in-house applications with the statewide PALM solution. You will maintain, enhance, and support agency business applications while translating user requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Write and code software programs according to specifications.
• Collaborate with network administrators and systems analysts to resolve software system issues.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior programmers.
• Document and translate program user requirements into technical specifications.
• Maintain and enhance a variety of agency business applications.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Oracle databases, including complex queries and PL/SQL objects (DML and DDL).
• 3+ years of experience with database and SQL performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS, React, or jQuery.
• 3+ years of experience with financial data, accounting processes, or internal controls.
• Proficiency with database query tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or SQL Navigator.
• Strong knowledge of relational database design and database security, including role-based security.
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM).
• Ability to work independently and manage work priorities to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing PHP applications, reports, or web development using XML and CSS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban.
• Experience using code repositories, specifically Git.
