Description

You will build REST services from the ground up using Scala, applying TDD and ATDD methodologies with Cucumber-JVM and ScalaTest.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design software using Service Oriented Architecture and architectural thinking.
• Implement solutions within Agile/Scrum workflows using Jira.
• Write clean, high-quality code following OOP and functional programming paradigms.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Scala, including proficiency in Scala 2.11.
• Hands-on experience with Http4s, Play2, and Akka.
• Practical knowledge of Kafka, ELK stack, Hadoop, and Apache Spark.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically Lambda, S3, Kinesis, and SQS.
• Strong understanding of OOP and functional programming paradigms.
• Solid software design skills and knowledge of design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
