Description

You will serve as an Application Engineer focusing on system design, validation, and cost optimization for Driveline and Powertrain components.

Responsibilities

• Schedule hardware system design reviews and review design proposals with multi-functional teams.
• Coordinate reviews with the Virtual Analysis/CAE team and ensure Virtual DVP/Scorecard completion before prototype hardware orders.
• Lead Driveline System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM reviews to define cohesive Design Controls and DVP Actions.
• Support development of Cost Roll-ups for Minor/MCA/New Programs and lead Technical Cost Reduction (TCR)/Value Optimization (VO) efforts.
• Review and approve change notices, ensuring checklists, LL, and E-BP updates align correctly.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Driveline or Powertrain components with OEM and/or tier 1/2 supplier.
• Demonstrated solid understanding of Powertrain / Driveline Systems and Components.
• Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
• Comprehensive understanding of efficiency tools from Google and Microsoft.
• Extensive knowledge of efficiency software from Google and Microsoft.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
