Description

Own engineering oversight for driveline and powertrain systems, managing design reviews, DVP completion, and cost optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and lead hardware system design reviews with multi-functional teams and review design proposals.
• Coordinate with the Virtual Analysis/CAE team to ensure Virtual DVP/Scorecard completion before prototype hardware orders.
• Lead Driveline System and Interface DFMEA and DRBFM reviews to define cohesive Design Controls.
• Support Chief and Assistant Chief engineers in developing cost roll-ups for minor, MCA, and new programs.
• Review and approve change notices, ensuring alignment of checklists, LL, and E-BP updates.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Driveline or Powertrain components with OEM or tier 1/2 supplier.
• Solid understanding of Powertrain and Driveline Systems and Components.
• Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
• Comprehensive understanding of efficiency tools from Google and Microsoft.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading Technical Cost Reductions (TCRs) and Value Optimization (VO) efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Must manage travel to Supplier and Vehicle Assembly Plants, including Canada and Mexico.
