Description

You own the engineering and maintenance of data discovery and governance systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain BigID integrations across databases, cloud storage, data warehouses, and APIs.
• Configure discovery policies, classifiers, and connectors to ensure GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Implement and optimize data discovery and classification workflows.
• Troubleshoot BigID performance, ingestion, and classification issues.
• Develop custom metadata enrichment and governance rules while collaborating with governance, privacy, and security teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with BigID.
• Experience working with AWS and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in API and data source integration.
• Understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud storage fundamentals.
• Experience with Databases, Cloud Storage, Data Warehouses, and APIs.
• Ability to work independently within an agile environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting.
• Experience in data privacy, risk, or security initiatives.
